Differences between sisters
Brigitte was also enrolled at the same school with Brigitte’s younger sister Marie-Jeanne. She was as beautiful and talented as her sister but didn’t enjoy dancing. Marie quit her ballet classes in secret for fear of disappointing their mothers. Brigitte remained focused and dedicated to ballet.
The Next Step
Brigitte’s hard work was rewarded by a spot at the Conservatoire de Paris. She was able honed her skills at this world-famous dance school. Boris Knyazev, a Russian choreographer, taught her for three years. Her fellow ballerinas said that she was as agile as a Bichette. This became her nickname.
