Carlos Orduz, an anchor on ESPN Columbia’s live broadcast, experienced a frightening moment when a part of the studio walls fell on him. It’s not a tiny piece of drywall. A large section of the wall fell in what appeared to be a fatal accident.
Orduz was fortunate to have only suffered minor injuries, and continued reporting. This incident is a good reminder that live broadcasting can be unpredictable and anchors and journalists should always be prepared to deal with the unexpected.
