72. CTV News Anchor accidentally asks someone to “Canoodle”

CTV’s Andrew Johnson was presenting a broadcast in 2012 when he had just received a report about an old-fashioned meeting sport where people would meet to talk, drink a few drinks, and sometimes ‘canoodle.’

Andrew Johnson, poor innocent Andrew Johnson, thought that ‘canoodles’ meant to talk. He asked his colleague to ‘canoodle with him’ when he sent the broadcast to her, clearly misunderstanding the meaning of the word. Johnson was quickly informed of his mistake by a producer, who then apologized.
