55. “Rocco, put your tail down”

A furry friend unexpectedly appeared during a virtual meeting of the UK Parliament’s Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport Committee, in 2020. Rocco, a cat owned by John Nicolson of the Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport Committee, sat on the keyboard with his tail raised, in front of a virtual committee meeting.
The incident brought a few unknown variables to the world. It caused a brief interruption of the seriousness and gave the participants in the meeting pause for laughter. The committee member was forced to tell Rocco at one point to “put down your tail.” This is a moment that neither Nicolson or those in the videoconference will forget.
