In 2014, Fox’s affiliate KDVR committed a serious mistake on their newscast. Random images started appearing on the screen while reporting on a horrible crash via an anchor’s tablet. The anchor mentions Edward Scissorhands casually and proceeds through the slides. The next slide wasn’t quite as PG13.
The photo was of the male genitalia. It caught everyone by surprise. The station apologized immediately, saying that the image was selected in error. The damage had already been done and the station learned a valuable lesson about double-checking the slides before airing.
