Newscasters are very prepared for each segment of a newscast. They know exactly what they will say, when they will say it. They’re supposed, at least. Chris McKinnon was an anchor at CBS Boston’s WBZ 4 when he forgot his lines one morning.
He then introduced himself as Kate Merrill, the co-anchor of his show, and immediately burst into laughter. Merrill was confused by the would-be identity theft, but she burst out laughing as well.
