Fairness to the CNN presenter: “Popocatepetl,” is not a name she can easily pronounce. She probably should have practiced saying it out loud a few times before uttering it incoherently on air. Isa Soares uttered the name of the famous Mexican volcano incorrectly when talking about it.
She utterly messed up the pronunciation of “Popocatepetl” when she attempted to say it. Soares was forced to apologize for her mistake after the broadcast. She couldn’t avoid the mockery on social media.
