The Most Expensive News Fails and Bloopers in History

113. The man who went to BBC News 24 for a job interview ended up on live TV

Year: 2006
Network:BBC News24

This news blooper was so absurd, it even got its own Wikipedia entry. In May 2006, BBC News 24 wanted to interview Guy Kewney about a recent Silicon Valley lawsuit.

Instead, the network mistakenly interviewed Guy Goma who was at the BBC to interview for a position. Kewney was surprised to see Goma being interviewed in place of him. Goma tried his best under strange circumstances. Goma wasn’t hired after this gaffe. However, the mistake became one of the most famous TV news bloopers.
