Cynthia Izaguirre wrote a report in 2001 about a blind man who had climbed Mount Everest. Instead of calling him blind, Cynthia Izaguirre called him gay. The blooper, which she quickly corrected, went viral and caused controversy.

Craig Nigrelli’s cohost Izaguirre seamlessly transitioned from one segment to the next. Some people were shocked by the error, calling it disrespectful and insensitive, while others laughed at the mistake. Izaguirre apologized later for the mistake and said that she had been flustered.
