Seven Foods to Eat Before Working Out

Nuts and Seeds

Nuts and seeds, even if they are just a small snack before working out, are perfect to consume. These nuts and seeds are packed with good fats, protein and more. Almonds are rich in antioxidants, protein and unsaturated fats. Almonds are a superfood on their own, so combining them with other nuts and seeds makes for an amazing snack you should be adding to your diet before exercising.

A Banana

This is the simplest option, but it’s a great pre-workout snack. Bananas are the best fruit to eat just before working out for several reasons. Bananas contain antioxidants, potassium and a lot of other nutrients. The slow-release carbs will give you the maximum amount of energy for a long time.

Scrambled Egg on Wholemeal Toast

Scrambled eggs on wholemeal bread are ideal before a workout if you’re planning a tough workout. Eggs are rich in protein and amino acids that your body requires to build muscles. Of course, scrambled eggs on toast are delicious!
