11. Marianne explains the situation
“Not much,” Marianne said. “I believe it’s heat exhaustion. He snapped quickly out of his trance, saying he didn’t want nurses to take any measurements. He wants to get back into his car.”
“Huh.”
Grady entered the clinic and headed to the back room. Even though the sky was blue, Grady could hear a faint roll of thunder as he entered.
12. Roland Is Irate
Roland Redding became irate.
He said, “I told you doctor,” as Grady and Marianne came down the hall. I want to get out of here. Now.“
Grady did not like the tone of his voice, so he returned it to him when he entered the room. You’re not speaking to Dr. Roberts. “You’re talking to me. I would appreciate if you treated me with respect.”
