How to Lower Your Resting Heart rate

Drink Less Caffeine

Caffeine, being a stimulant affects the heart rate. Even if you measure your heart rate shortly after waking up, consuming a large amount of caffeine can affect it. It can also improve sleep, which in turn affects heart rate. Caffeine’s effects on heart health vary from one person to another. The effects of caffeine on heart health will also vary depending on the amount, frequency, and weight of an individual. Some people are more sensitive to caffeine.

Limit caffeine consumption in the evenings and afternoons if you can’t eliminate it completely from your diet. Although caffeine starts working immediately, it may take several hours for the substance to leave an individual’s body. Caffeine can make people feel tired but also prevent them from falling asleep at night. Sleep hygiene is improved by limiting caffeine consumption after 2 PM.
