How to Lower Your Resting Heart rate

The heart rate is the number of times a person’s heart beats in a minute. This rate can vary depending on the individual’s environment, emotions, and physical activity. Resting heart rate is a baseline heart rate for an individual when they’re not doing anything. The range of normal resting heart rates can be anywhere between sixty and one hundred beats per minutes. A high resting rate may indicate a problem elsewhere in the body.

Exercise Regularly

A vigorous cardio workout of 75 minutes a day is recommended, or a moderate workout of 150 minutes. This means doing a moderate workout five times a week, or a heavy cardio workout five times. Exercisers will notice a greater improvement in their heart rate at rest. Exercise makes the heart stronger and enables it to pump blood more efficiently.
